I took Hermann's art, put a grenade in it, let it explode, and then used assorted graphic elements, enlarging them, re-coloring but not distort or add anything, as parts of the composition of pages and spreads. Only the text parts of pages are not at least partially connected to Hermann. Quest in the title refers to Character Aymar's quest for his homeland, Hermann's quest for artistic expression and also, my own quest for understanding creative processes and art itself.
I devised, designed, printed and bound this project myself. Learned a lot from it. Thanks to Strip Art Features, Ervin Rustemagic and Herman Huppen who wholeheartedly supported this project.
